Situated 60km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi has become a popular destination for both local and international tourists. The vast network of over 200km of tunnels achieved legendary status for their crucial role during the war. These tunnels formed underground cities, complete with trap doors, living quarters, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. Today, peaceful scenes of ducks and water buffalos harmoniously coexisting along the riverside contrast with the area's violent history. The serene rice paddy landscapes conceal the devastation caused by bombings and landmines. It is difficult to fathom the destruction and damage inflicted upon this region during the intense battles of the 1960s when Cu Chi served as a "Free Target Zone." The tour begins in the morning with a short introductory video on the construction of the tunnels. Visitors will then have an hour to explore the tunnels, gaining a firsthand experience of the underground world. Afterward, enjoy tea and cassava, the staple food of the guerrilla fighters during the war. Return to Saigon, where the driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. We recommend scheduling the flight after 17:00 PM. Upon arrival in Hanoi, the driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
