This temple showcases three distinct levels: the lower level centered around the baray (water reservoir), the second level adorned with quadrangular pavilions and intricately carved galleries, and the top level housing the sanctuary itself. Built by the Khmer empire prior to the creation of Angkor Wat, this temple once served as the region's primary economic and political hub and remains a cherished site for the Lao people.
